About Me

I grew up in a college town, working for farms and in restaurant, and otherwise roaming around in the woods. Now I am growing in Jersey City, and keeping a big garden in the northern Catskills.

I love…
– Planting, preserving and preparing food
– Big dogs, and the occasional small dog and dog-like cat
– Crafts, especially knitting and quilting
– Writing & performing music
– Playing cards
– Voting (just call me Leslie Knope)
– Cozy mysteries

I don’t love…
– Running, unless I’m being chased (…even then…)
– Cults (though I am fascinated by them and learn about them all the time)
– Movies (I have exceptions, obviously, including Hocus Pocus, A Muppet Christmas Carol and most recently, Amadeus which is AMAZING AND WORTH IT EVEN THOUGH ITS SO LONG. Watch it.)
– Sneaking
– Folding laundry (we have AI and deepfakes and robots and still nothing to help with this. Le sigh.)
